Elder Justice Prosecutors Resource & Engagement Center

The Elder Justice Prosecutors Resource & Engagement Center supports prosecutors and other criminal justice professionals working to prevent, investigate, and prosecute elder abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and fraud. It provides practical resources, training, technical assistance, and opportunities for prosecutors to connect with colleagues and experts across the country. It also works to identify emerging issues, strengthen prosecution practices, and help ensure that prosecutors have access to the tools and expertise they need to effectively pursue these cases.

The Center is housed at the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA) and supported by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Elder Justice Initiative (EJI). EJI coordinates and supports the Department’s elder justice enforcement and programmatic efforts and works to build federal, state, and local capacity through training, resources, tools, research, and collaboration with prosecutors, law enforcement, victim advocates, multidisciplinary teams, and other elder justice professionals.

Through its support of the Center, EJI provides dedicated assistance to prosecutors and strengthens the national response to crimes against older persons.
