National Center for Community Prosecution: An Unmatched Resource for Community Prosecutors

Delores Ward, Senior Attorney, NCCP
The National Center for Community Prosecution welcomes Delores Heredia Ward as its new senior attorney. A former assistant district attorney in Nassau County, New York, Delores served as a community prosecutor and the D.A. coordinator for the community court and drug court.

Community prosecution programs, by their very nature, respond to the changing needs of the communities they serve. Therefore, the specifics are continually being redefined. APRI’s National Center for Community Prosecution (NCCP) provides technical assistance to community prosecutors in this ever-changing environment.

NCCP provides free Web-based, telephonic, and in-person assistance to prosecutors. In addition, NCCP conducts national and regional trainings. Our next training, an Advanced Community Prosecution Workshop will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on September 28-30, 2004. NCCP also conducts research and publishes and maintains a library of publications and information on various topics of interest to community prosecutors.

Recent publications include the following:

To order or download copies of these and other community prosecution publications go to our Web site Community Prosecution publications section. Contact the NCCP at communityprosecution@ndaa-apri.org or 703-549-4253.
