APRI Highlights - Summer 2003

Innovative DA Harry Connick Retires

Harry Connick has stepped down after nearly 30 years as the elected district attorney in New Orleans. A long-time friend of NDAA and APRI, District Attorney Connick is known for creativity as a prosecutor. His office was recently featured in a Stanford Law Review article about innovative case screening practices and plea negotiations. Also, Mr. Connick’s concern for America’s youth led to his successful school-based drug prevention and hair-testing program. Mr. Connick can be reached at 504-861-1296 or harryconnicksr@aol.com.
