Using Middleware Software to Create Virtual Integrated Justice Systems

A number of jurisdictions are adopting the middleware approach to integrating justice information systems. This approach can be particularly advantageous for those jurisdictions having large investments in existing systems because specialized middleware software joins the various agency systems into a "virtual" system.
