George E. Ross

George E. Ross has recently been named chief financial officer (CFO) for APRI and NDAA. He previously served as APRI’s director of grants management. As CFO, Mr. Ross will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of both organizations as well as the financial integration of the National College of District Attorneys in its merger with NDAA. He will coordinate the preparation of financial reports and audits of the APRI and NDAA annual financial statements and work to support the activities of APRI’s grant programs through real-time accounting and financial reporting.
Prior to joining APRI in 1999, Mr. Ross held several positions with the U.S. Department of Commerce Office of Inspector General for Auditing. Over the course of his employment there, Mr. Ross served as assistant inspector general for audit resolution and administration, assistant inspector general for compliance and resolution and, most recently, assistant inspector general for auditing. Mr. Ross is experienced in acquisitions, budget management, audit resolution and follow-up, inspections and investigations. As assistant inspector general for auditing, Mr. Ross was responsible for all Office of Inspector General audits, including performance audits, financial statement audits and financial-related audits of recipients of over $1 billion of annual financial assistance from the Commerce Department.
Mr. Ross received an A.B. degree in political science from Tufts University, obtained both J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Boston University, and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. He also completed an International Business Management Program at Georgetown University.
