Last year the Texas District & County Attorneys Association (TDCAA) established a foundation to raise funds to support the association’s work for prosecutors. They report that in the past year the foundation has grown significantly, even accepting a grant award from AT&T with which they will revamp the association’s Web site. The foundation accepts gifts of all types, most notably those donated as memorials for prosecutors who have passed away. This year they are hoping to obtain a donation from every elected prosecutor in the state of Texas. The money collected will fund education for the state’s prosecutors, investigators and support staff. They are also looking to expand the use of foundation funding to victim witness services in the future. This foundation is a unique feat and NDAA would like to congratulate TDCAA on its success in this endeavor.
