Order Finding Imminent Danger To The Public Health And Requiring Corrective Action - This order restricts the sales quantity of products containing ephedrine and pseudoephedrine and restricts the location of the product depending on whether the product is a sole active ingredient preparation or a multi active ingredient preparation. -- Signed September 15, 2005 and is effective from 10/1/05 - 7/1/06
Executive Directive 8 - The directive mandates that the State Health Commissioner issue an order (by September 15, 2005) that places restrictions on the quantity of "precursor ingredients most commonly and easily used in manufacture of methamphetamines" that can be purchased; places restrictions on the location of targeted products by moving them behind the counter or otherwise securing them; requires an identification for purchase of the products and requires a record of the purchases. Directive is effective September 1, 2005 and the regulation promulgated by the State Health Commissioner will be effective no later than 10/1/05 and will remain in effect until July 1, 2006. -- Signed by the governor on September 1, 2005
