The Hardy County Prosecutor’s Office, Hardy County, West Virginia, is seeking employment applications for the following position: FULL TIME/ PART TIME ASSISTANT PROSECUTOR. Candidate needs to have passed the West Virginia State Bar and have been sworn in and be an active member of the Bar in good standing as well as be duly licensed and authorized to practice as an attorney under the laws of West Virginia.

Bethel:  Assistant District Attorney, State of Alaska
The Bethel District Attorney’s Office is recruiting to fill a full-time assistant district attorney position.  This lively office is responsible for prosecution of criminal cases in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta and Interior Alaska.  The position requires frequent court appearances in the Superior and District Courts at Bethel, and telephonic appearances in village courts.  There is significant trial work, including pre-trial motion practice. There are opportunities for travel to some of the 64 communities in the area, and some travel may be required in connection with trial work.  This is an excellent placement for a person who enjoys outdoor activities, one who is interested in indigenous cultures, or one who seeks a culturally diverse environment.

Trial Attorney, DOJ Criminal Division,
Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development Cotonou, Benin
The Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT), Criminal Division, U.S. Department of Justice, seeks an experienced prosecutor currently employed as an Assistant United States Attorney, Department of Justice Trial Attorney, or a State Prosecutor to serve as a Resident Legal Advisor (RLA) for the West African Region.  This assignment is for a term of 24 months.  Appointment to this position will be effected by a term appointment or through a reimbursable detail.  Conditions of the detail will be handled on a case by case basis and will require an agreement between the gaining and losing components.
