This hands-on training will tour the arsenal of the electronic litigator from case analysis/prep to courtroom presentations. The training will focus on practical, effective, and efficient electronic methods for the trial prosecutor or prosecution trial support personnel. Training will be by presentation and lab workshops and components will include:

  • Useful hardware/software; training and support; "tips and secrets"

  • Creating trial slides; animated diagrams; coordinating crime scene photos with diagrams; exploded detail or “callouts”; animated visuals such as timelines, exhibit lists, jury instructions; creating the crime scene walk-thru; animated argument visuals such as relationship triangles, “all evidence points to…”, element checklists; adding sound and video; the multi-file hyper-linked slide show and internally hyper-linked files; “tips and secrets”

  • Graphics editing; cropping, resizing, and resampling photos and images, detail copying and pasting; graphic file format considerations; scanning considerations; simultaneous use of graphics editors and slide show creators; “tips and secrets”

  • Using a litigation support system (Sanction II)

  • Editing and using audio and video clips; creating sub-clips for argument

  • Digitizing crime scenes; animating the crime scene for activity

  • Creatinga vector 3-D crime scene viewable spatially

Who Should Attend?

  • Trial prosecutors or trial support personnel with a working knowledge of Windows. A basic familiarity with PowerPoint® will be necessary and work will be at the intermediate and advanced levels.
