This course was developed by the National Center for the Prosecution of Violence Against Women (NCPVAW) at the American Prosecutors Research Institute (APRI), the research and technical assistance division of the National District Attorneys Association (NDAA), in collaboration with the Battered Women’s Justice Project and is funded by the USDOJ Office on Violence Against Women.
At the National Institute on the Prosecution of Domestic Violence you will:
- Learn strategies which apply to your day-to-day work from nationally-renowned faculty and other prosecutors;
- Engage in role-play exercises, small-group discussions, hypothetical cases and faculty demonstrations;
- Create an action plan for responding to domestic violence cases that keeps victims safe and holds offenders accountable by developing a process for determining the best solution in each case.

A $100 activities fee will be charged to help defray the costs for training. This fee may be paid with Grants to Encourage Arrest (GTEA) funds. To be accepted into the training, you must complete the application form in its entirety.
