The Honorable Reginald B. Walton, U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia and Chairman of the National Prison Rape Elimination Commission, has called on our nation’s judges and prosecutors to commit to the eradication of prison rape. In response to this call, NDAA's National Center for the Prosecution of Violence Against Women (NCPVAW), in collaboration with the National Judicial College, has created:
The Prosecution of Prison Rape and The Prison Rape Elimination Act : A Model Curriculum for Prosecutors, which contains videos, a powerpoint and corresponding faculty manual to facilitate training on the prosecution of prison rape.
The Prosecution of Prison Rape: The Prison Rape Elimination Act CD-ROM, which was designed to teach prosecutors how to prepare and prosecute prison rape cases.
Both of these resources were developed through a generous grant awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance and in collaboration with experts in the field of sexual assault, prosecution, corrections and other allied criminal justice professionals.
